Stomach Laser Hair Removal
Stomach laser hair removal is a frequent request from men, very often combined with chest treatment. Whether the hair is concentrated in a vertical line (from the navel to the pubic area) or covers the whole abdomen more densely, medical laser offers a permanent and effective solution. This treatment highlights the abdominal muscles, improves everyday comfort and frees men from the constraints of short-lived methods.
Shaving or trimming the stomach creates prickly regrowth by the very next day, which is particularly uncomfortable during movement or physical contact. In addition, constant friction from belts or clothing encourages ingrown hairs and small inflamed bumps. Laser hair removal eliminates these problems at the root, leaving healthy, smooth skin.
The specific features of the male abdominal area
The stomach is a supple skin area, but its hair growth is strongly regulated by male hormones (testosterone). There are generally two types of hair profiles:
- The treasure trail: For many men, the hair is mainly concentrated in a more or less wide vertical strip below the navel. In this area the hairs are coarse, thick and dark, which makes them particularly responsive to laser.
- The full abdomen: For others, the hair covers the entire stomach and joins the chest. The texture can vary: very dense around the navel and finer (fuzz-like) on the sides.
Our latest-generation lasers allow the intensity and wavelength to be adjusted millimetre by millimetre. This ensures effective destruction of thick hairs without the risk of stimulating the fine hair on the sides of the abdomen.
The options: full removal or a natural fade?
The protocol is tailored precisely to each patient’s body shape and aesthetic wishes:
Full treatment: It aims to remove all the hair on the stomach for a perfectly smooth look. It is the ideal choice for athletes or people suffering from recurrent folliculitis.
Creating a fade (gradient): If you choose to treat the stomach but not the chest (or vice versa), the practitioner will make sure to create a smooth, natural transition. The aim is to avoid any artificial demarcation between treated and untreated areas.
Procedure, sensations and pace of the protocol
A quick session: Stomach treatment is quick. Allow about 10 to 15 minutes to cover the whole abdominal area.
Comfort level: The stomach is a sensitive area, particularly around the navel and near the pubic area. You feel a quick, warm tingling with each pulse. To maximise your comfort, our equipment releases a continuous jet of icy air that instantly numbs the skin and neutralises the heat of the laser.
Session schedule: To achieve an optimal and lasting result, a full protocol requires an average of 6 to 8 sessions, spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart in order to respect the natural hair growth cycle.
Essential safety guidelines
Before the session: Shave the stomach area closely 24 hours before your appointment. The skin must not be tanned at all (no sun exposure, tanning beds or self-tanner for 4 weeks beforehand) to avoid any risk of skin reaction.
After the session: Apply a soothing, repairing cream for 48 hours to reduce the slight temporary redness. Avoid sources of heat (sauna, hammam, very hot showers) and intensive sport for 24 hours to let the skin recover. If exposed to the sun, protect your stomach with SPF 50+ sunscreen.
