The FUE beard transplant
For an even and natural-looking beard
The FUE micrograft is one of the newest of innovations in the hair transplant domain, these modernizations diversify the capillary transplant potential. In the last few years, it has now become possible to perform beard transplants.
This manual, painless, scarless technique can fill in bald spots, thicken and rework the beard contours.
The FUE beard graft involves the extraction of hairs from the nape zone (donor area) where hair growth is generally more generous and resistant, then to reimplant them in the beard area by following the patient’s pre-defined beard contour design.
Beard Transplants: Step by Step
Prior to the Procedure:
A preliminary appointment with Dr Simon Sebbah is required to define the patient’s needs and trace the desired beard contour to determine the number of grafts to transplant.
During the Procedure:
The procedure is performed using a local anesthesia . The hair grafts are extracted from the donor area, previously shaven and then reimplanted in the beard area.
After completing the procedure, the patient must respect a 5-7 day recovery period to optimize the healing process and so that the hair grafts set.
The post-surgical protocol will be detailed to the patient and a follow-up will be scheduled.
The results become progressively visible and are permanent 9-12 months following the beard transplant.
From the 7th day on(following the procedure), the scabs on the donor area and the treatment area disappear.
