Full Legs Laser Hair Removal
For many women, leg hair removal is the heaviest and most tedious beauty routine. Choosing to treat the full legs (from the ankles to the top of the thighs, including the knees and the tops of the feet) is an investment in comfort that radically changes everyday life. It guarantees that you can wear a dress, shorts or a swimsuit at any time of year, without ever having to check your hair or plan a last-minute shave.
Traditional methods very quickly show their limits on such a large surface. The razor irritates the skin, causes cuts and has to be used every other day, while salon waxing represents a significant monthly budget for life, as well as imposing an unsightly regrowth period between two appointments. In addition, the skin of the thighs is particularly thin and prone to friction, which encourages redness and small bumps. Laser hair removal permanently eliminates these constraints for lastingly smooth, silky skin.
Did you know? Why the thighs and calves do not respond in the same way
A very interesting and little-known fact concerns the difference in the nature of the hair on the same leg.
On the half legs (calves and shins), the hairs are generally thicker, darker and very rich in melanin. The laser therefore detects them very easily, which gives impressive results from the very first sessions.
On the thighs, however, the hair often takes the form of finer, lighter fuzz. Our latest-generation medical lasers allow the wavelength and intensity to be adjusted precisely, millimetre by millimetre. This makes it possible to effectively capture the finer hairs on the thighs without damaging the skin, guaranteeing perfect harmonisation and a seamless result across the whole leg.
FAQ
Answers to frequently asked questions about legs laser hair removal.
+ - Can tattoos on the legs be treated?
This is a point requiring absolute caution. If you have a tattoo on your ankle, calf or thigh, the laser cannot pass directly over it. The device is designed to target dark pigments. If it passes over tattoo ink, the ink will absorb the energy, which could distort the design and cause a burn. During the session, the doctor or assistant will carefully work around your tattoo, leaving a safety margin of one centimetre.
+ - What happens to spider veins or small blood vessels on the legs?
Laser hair removal does not worsen small visible blood vessels (spider veins). On the contrary, some lasers used for hair removal have a wavelength close to those used to treat vascular problems. However, the presence of significant varicose veins will receive particular attention during the initial examination in order to adapt the treatment.
+ - A point of caution: sun exposure
As the legs are very exposed in spring and summer, following the safety guidelines is essential. The skin must not be tanned at all in order to be treated (you must stop all sun exposure, tanning beds or self-tanner 4 weeks before the session). After the treatment, apply a moisturising cream for 48 hours and make sure to protect your legs with SPF 50+ sunscreen when going out in the sun to avoid any pigmentation reaction.
How your skin changes: a genuine skin treatment
The laser does more than just remove hair, it transforms the overall quality of your skin:
No more ingrown hairs: By destroying the root, the laser permanently eliminates the risk of a hair growing under the skin. Small rough bumps and inflammation disappear.
“Strawberry legs” effect eliminated: The dark spots visible in the pores after shaving fade completely as the follicles close.
Softness restored: Without the daily aggression of blades or hot wax, the skin regains its suppleness, its natural radiance and an incredibly soft feel.
