How Does It Work?

The Plexr is a pen-shaped device with a fine needle which emits a precise and targeted electric arc every time it comes in contact with the skin.

Each impact delivers a plasma micro point triggering a fully-controlled superficial abrasion and an immediate skin retraction.

This superficial treatment is completely safe and causes no bleeding. Throughout the course of treatment, the patient only experiences a minor heat sensation.

A minimum of ten days is required to detect the first results, which will continue to improve progressively in the weeks following the procedure.

Complementary sessions (a month apart) can be recommended to intensify the results.

FAQs

Answers to frequently asked questions about Plexr.

+ - What does a Plexr session entail?

After a preliminary appointment with Dr Simon Sebbah, an anesthetic cream is applied on the treatment area and the session can then commence.

Depending on the surface area, a Plexr session can last anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes.

According to the situation, the protocol varies:

  • Medical Blepharoplasty : excess inflammation/folds are removed
  • Eyelid rims: scars and wrinkles are treated to fill-in hollows.
  • Relief imperfections undergo abrasion to smooth out the zone.

Upon completing the session, the post-procedure protocol will be stipulated to the patient, who can resume his/her daily routine with absolutely no recovery time.

+ - What are the contraindications?

Plexr can be performed on men and women, of all ages and phototypes.

A consent form must be signed by underage clients and the session must be performed in the presence of a parent.

This procedure cannot be performed on tanned skin. The patient must wait for his/her tan to fade before receiving this treatment.

+ - What are the side-effects?

Upon completing the session, mini scabs may appear on the treatment area which will disappear within a week and leave no scars. Red patches may appear on the skin for up to 3 weeks. In the case of a medical blepharoplasty, a large edema may appear on the lids in the 3 days following the procedure and will disappear within 7-10 days.

The patient cannot go out in the sun nor apply any sun protection cream for the month following the session.
