Hyaluronic acid is a molecule which is naturally present in the dermis and helps to maintain skin hydration. As of 35, our body produces less and less, and the first signs of aging appear.
However, hyaluronic acid, present in our creams and serums, only provides a superficial and temporary effect, as this molecule cannot sufficiently penetrate the skin topically. The SkinBooster allows this active ingredient to penetrate more deeply into the dermis and to create more lasting effects.
This treatment can be performed as a preventative measure as of 35 and can ameliorate the appearance of more mature skins.
The SkinBooster can also be performed on the hands and décolletage to improve appearance and slow premature skin aging.
How Does It Work?
The SkinBooster is a treatment based on the injection of liquid hyaluronic acid (low cross-linking factor and no filler nor plumping effects) on the entire treatment area.
These injections are performed with a thin needle using varying techniques: coating via a canula for a high-precision targeted action or a papule for a more superficial effect.
On top of which, with its hydrating effects, via the hyaluronic acid, the SkinBooster stimulates collagen and elastin production, restoring firmness and tonicity to the dermis.
As of the first SkinBooster session, skin is visibly moisturized and firmed.
A 2 session course of treatment, one month apart, with one maintenance session every 6-12 months are recommended to maintain optimal results.

What does a SkinBooster session entail ?
After a preliminary appointment with Dr Simon Sebbah, the treatment area is disinfected and the SkinBooster session can commence. The Doctor & Co clinic uses products from the Belotero range.
A SkinBooster session lasts 30 minutes and is completely painless
Upon completing a session, a moisturizing cream is applied on the treatment area(s) and the patient can resume his/her daily routine with no recovery time required.
What are the contraindications?
The SkinBooster can be performed on men and women of all ages and phototypes. There are no contraindications to this treatment.
What are the side-effects?
Upon completing a session, slight redness may appear on the treatment area and will disappear in the hours following the procedure. Sometimes light bruising may appear in the days following the treatment, which can be camouflaged by foundation.
